Congratulations to the 2025 Inductees into the OCCSW Women’s Hall of Fame. Peggy Brockman is a passionate community leader with 30+ years of service in Okaloosa County. Founder of Bring Hope Now, she champions youth mental health, suicide prevention, and domestic violence support. A speaker and coach, she’s earned multiple awards for her advocacy, leadership, and commitment to empowering women and youth.

Martha “Jenny” Hamilton

Martha “Jenny” Hamilton

Education (posthumous) Inductee

Martha “Jenny” Hamilton dedicated over 35 years to shaping young lives at Choctawhatchee High School as a beloved educator, cheer sponsor, and student activities director. Known for her compassion, high standards, and unwavering support of students and staff, she built a legacy of leadership, spirit, and service. Her deep impact on education and the Okaloosa County community makes her a fitting inductee into the OCCSW Women’s Hall of Fame.

Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Inductee

With passion for art and compassion for the community, President Helen Harris leads ADSO which promotes artistic development to the public, nonprofit organizations, and the schools. She owns HH Arts- host to artist’s studios, classes and gallery as well as meeting place for Okaloosa Public Arts (OPA), developers of the Heron Project.

Pioneer Inductee

Sherry Harlow, APR, is a retired Marketing and PR Manager with 45 years at Eglin Federal Credit Union. A founding member of the Emerald Coast PR Organization, she’s also active in Okaloosa Saves and national financial education. She sponsors scholarships and she performed military financial programs at Eglin AFB for 20 years.

Kay Rasmussen, Associate Director of One Okaloosa EDC, is a national board-certified economic developer with 20+ years of service as a military liaison. She has secured hundreds of millions in federal funds, led key defense initiatives, influenced national policy, and advanced partnerships benefiting military readiness, infrastructure, community relations, and environmental sustainability.

Eloise M. Stevens is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 20 years of distinguished service, including during Desert Storm. A dedicated community leader, she mentors youth, leads Bible studies, organizes voter drives, and champions women’s health, senior safety, and education—impacting countless lives through her faith-driven leadership and service.

Carolyn Spencer Humanitarian Inductee

Donna Tashik is a passionate community leader with over 16 years of experience serving vulnerable populations. As Executive Director of Fresh Start for Children & Families, she empowers homeless families toward self-sufficiency. Her dedication, leadership, and advocacy continue to transform lives and build stronger communities along the Emerald Coast.

Since 1995, 147 women have been inducted into the Okaloosa County Women’s Hall of Fame. This award was created to honor and recognize women who have made important contributions to Okaloosa County.
