Beyond Expectations was the winner of the Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women (OCCSW) $500 Service to Okaloosa County Women Grant for 2023. OCCSW Chair Sabina Zanguze presented the check to director Karen Reid representing the Lotus Project. Beyond Expectations is a 501C3 organization and will be using these funds to conduct psychoeducational groups which provide confidence boosting skills girls can apply for the rest of their lives. Fifteen 3 rd to 5 th grade young ladies who will be scholarshiped into this 6 week resiliency skill program through these funds. The OCCSW is thrilled to partner with such a fantastic organization serving youth in Okaloosa County. The girls are in their third week, as of Feb, 7, and loving the skills and relationships they are building.
